Description

Chloride-based compound fertilizers are  fertilizers manufactured using potassium chloride as the primary potassium source. This formulation offers a cost-effective solution for delivering essential nutrients—nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K)—to a wide range of crops. Designed to meet the nutritional demands of modern agriculture, this fertilizer enhances crop yield, improves quality, and supports sustainable farming practices.

These fertilizers are divided into two categories: single-chloride products and double-chloride products.

  • Single-Chloride Products: Nitrogen is derived from urea, phosphorus from diammonium phosphate (DAP), and potassium from potassium chloride. These fertilizers do not contain chloride ions.
  • Double-Chloride Products: Nitrogen is sourced from ammonium chloride, phosphorus from diammonium phosphate, and potassium from potassium chloride.

Key Features

  1. High Potassium Content: Utilizes potassium chloride (MOP) for efficient potassium supply, essential for plant metabolism and growth.
  2. Balanced Nutrients: Ensures optimal ratios of N, P, and K for specific crop needs, improving overall productivity.
  3. Cost-Effective Solution: Among various types of NPK fertilizers, chloride-based fertilizers are the most affordable, making them an ideal choice for large-scale farming operations.
  4. Granular Formulation: Easy to apply, with uniform particle size for even nutrient distribution.

Application Recommendations

  • Crops: Ideal for Aquatic Vegetables and Bast Fiber Crops
    • Chloride-based compound fertilizers deliver outstanding results when applied to aquatic vegetables and bast fiber crops such as hemp and jute. These fertilizers outperform sulfate-based fertilizers for bast fiber crops because chloride ions are essential for the development of strong and flexible fibers. This contributes to improved fiber tensile strength and overall crop quality.
    • For grain crops like rice, soybeans, corn, sorghum, millet, and wheat, the effectiveness of chloride-based and sulfate-based compound fertilizers is largely the same. There is no significant difference in their impact on these crops.

Methods

    • Broadcast Application: Spread evenly over the soil surface.
    • Base Dressing: Incorporate into the soil before planting.
    • Top Dressing: Apply during key growth stages for maximum impact.
  • Dosage: Tailored to crop type, soil conditions, and growth requirements.
